The Global Licensing Group, the organiser of Licensing Expo, has announced some key dates ahead of this year’s event, which takes place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from 24 – 26 May 2022.
Licensing Expo is run in partnership with industry trade association Licensing International. Online registration for the event is free and open now.
On Monday 23 May, attendees can celebrate this year’s award winners, with free entry to the Licensing International Excellence Awards ceremony at Light from 5.30 pm. The trade show opens at 9 am the following day, Tuesday 24 May and there will be a free-to-attend opening night party that evening at Daylight outdoor beach club from 5:30 pm till late. On Wednesday evening, 25 May, exhibitors can enjoy informal drinks at the Eyecandy Sound Lounge and Bar.
Keynote speakers, educational sessions & more
This year, the event will feature two in-person keynotes, at midday on Tuesday and Wednesday. The latter will spotlight Licensing Expo 2022’s Location-Based Experiences theme.
Licensing International will also be running its popular Licensing U programme, Products of Change will be delivering sessions around the topic of sustainability, and the finale of the License This! Competition will take place live on Thursday 26 May.
The event will have both in-person and virtual elements, and extra content and opportunities to connect will be available through the Licensing Expo official online platform. This will be open from April 11 to 3 June and will allow attendees to browse exhibitors, view attendees and schedule meetings.
A chance to reconnect
“The licensing industry is a very sociable community and the lack of opportunity to connect face to face has had a real negative impact on our attendees’ ability to make meaningful connections and drive business,” says Anna Knight, VP of Licensing, Informa Markets.
“We’re planning to set this right at Licensing Expo in May and have a wonderful program of events lined up to reconnect people.”
The latest exhibitors confirmed for Licensing Expo 2022 include Bravado, Banijay Brands, Penguin Random House, Zag Studios, Jazwares, Falcon Creative, Shell, Moonbug Entertainment and many more.
“The licensing industry has adapted to drastic changes and our content this year is focused on the opportunities that exist to continue to move business forward,” says Maura Regan, President of Licensing International.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to gather together in Las Vegas and we look forward to celebrating the successes of the past year and providing a platform for networking, new partnerships and learning.”
