Eerie experiences include drag productions, trick-or-treating and creature feature screenings

Meow Wolf has announced its new annual Cosmic Howl event for Halloween across all of its exhibitions from 13 to 31 October.

According to Meow Wolf, visitors are welcome “to explore their strange and beautiful slides” during the spooky season.

“No matter where you are or when you go, there will be plenty of surprises and delights, as well as special ticketed events to keep your spine tingling,” Meow Wolf said.

Meow Wolf’s attractions in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver and Grapevine will offer exhibit transformations, live music, costume-making workshops and candy.

Cosmic Howl coming to all exhibitions

At The Real Unreal in Grapevine, guests can get temporary tattoos, take part in a trick-or-treating event, enjoy spooky stories, paint a pumpkin and decorate a trick-or-treat bag.

The venue is also screening 1960 film Little Shop of Horrors, 1959 film House on Haunted Hill, and 1925 film The Phantom of the Opera.

In Santa Fe at the House of Eternal Return, there will be ‘Cute & Creepy Creature Creation’ workshops, a psychic tools workshop, and a screening of Friday the 13th (1980).

Convergence Station, the Denver installation, is offering Día de los Muertos workshops, eerie drag productions, a scavenger hunt, a costume contest, and a full day of creature feature screenings.

Finally, Omega Mart at Area15 in Las Vegas is celebrating Halloween with a temporary tattoo day, the Cosmic Howl party, and the ‘Candy Crawl’ event.

Area15, Vegas’ immersive entertainment district, is also becoming ‘ScArea15‘ this month, with experiences including the first ‘Goth and Glampire GRave’.

The destination recently revealed plans to open a new year-round Halloween Horror Nights attraction in partnership with Universal Destinations & Experiences.

John Murdy, creative director and executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, recently spoke to blooloop about this year’s event.
