Ahead of the UK theatrical release of Wes Anderson‘s Asteroid City, a new exhibition to promote the sci-fi comedy drama is opening in London.
The new Asteroid City pop-up exhibition from Universal Pictures UK opens on 17 June at the 180 Studios art gallery.
It includes original sets, props, miniatures, costumes and artwork featured in Anderson’s film. It also features a replica of Asteroid City‘s 1950s diner, the Luncheonette.
Limited edition merchandise will be on sale, including t-shirts, tote bags, books, pin badges, and exclusive vinyl with tracks from the film.
The cast of Asteroid City includes Jason Schwartzman, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hanks, Tilda Swinton, Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Steve Carell, Willem Dafoe, Margot Robbie and Jeff Goldblum.
The film takes place in a fictional American desert town in the 1950s, where a Junior Stargazer convention is “spectacularly disrupted by world-changing events”.
Elsewhere, New York City’s Paley Center for Media has opened a new Will & Grace exhibition, and the official Friends experience is making its UK debut in Birmingham on 8 July.

The Friends experience will include interactive sets such as Monica’s kitchen, the iconic fountain and the Central Perk coffee house. Fans of the TV series will also get to relax in Chandler and Joey’s recliners and help with the sofa pivot.
The Will & Grace exhibition provides a behind-the-scenes look at the hit TV series. It features costumes, interactive installations and props – including the original ‘Sad Man’ painting from the apartment set.
Asteroid City arrives in UK cinemas on 23 June. The immersive exhibition is open through 8 July.
