Balich Wonder Studio welcomes Simone Ferrari as chief creative officer

Balich Wonder Studio, a global entertainment group creating award-winning ceremonies, brand experiences, immersive shows, and destination experiences, has announced that Simone Ferrari has been appointed chief creative officer.

Ferrari will lead the creative direction for Balich Wonder Studio’s Ceremonies and Special Projects departments.

Trailblazing director

Ferrari is a director and creative director known for pushing the frontiers of live performance. His work combines storytelling, cutting-edge technology, and iconic scenography to redefine the future of live entertainment.

Aged 29, Ferrari directed the Closing Ceremony of the 2017 Aimag Games and became the youngest director in history to write and direct an event at an Olympic scale. The show, Wondrous Wind, was commissioned by the Asian Olympic Committee and produced by Balich Wonder Studio.

Since 2018, he has developed and directed a wide range of projects in a variety of sectors, from Cirque du Soleil productions to Olympic Ceremonies, theatrical productions, fashion displays, prime-time television productions, immersive experiences, and live concerts. Ferrari has served as show director for international music legends Robbie Williams, Muse, Sting, Måneskin, and many more. For Ghali’s Live Tour 24, he served as both creative director and show director.

Ferrari began working with Cirque du Soleil in 2019 on various productions, including directing the original show Sarwat Watan alongside Lulu Helbaek. The show was performed live and viewed by millions on television. Critics praised his work as creative and show director on X Factor Italy for taking the show to new artistic heights.

As group chairman, Balich is integral to the company’s creative direction. He is also a master of ceremonies and has created and organised 16 Olympic Ceremonies. Chief executive officer Stefano Core leads Balich Wonder Studio, a division of content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment. Its partners, Gianmaria Serra, Simone Merico, Carolina Dotti, and Valentina Saluzzi, oversee the company’s business units to ensure their continued success and growth.

Recently, Balich Wonder Studio celebrated the success of a Viva Vivaldi, The Four Seasons Immersive Concert, co-produced with Fondazione Arena di Verona. The immersive concert coincided with the 300th anniversary of Antonio Vivaldi‘s famous masterpiece, The Four Seasons.
