Guests will explore a radio station in another dimension

Meow Wolf has announced an opening date for its fifth permanent exhibition in Houston, Texas, which it has named ‘Radio Tave’.

Radio Tave will debut in Houston’s historic Fifth Ward on Halloween (31 October). Guests will find themselves immersed in an explorable radio station that has crossed into another dimension, said Meow Wolf.

This dimension is full of labyrinthine paths, portals, hidden doors and multi-sensory mysteries, and the new installation will thematically play with sound and music, Meow Wolf added.

“The visuals and soundscapes of Radio Tave are on another level. Visitors will be immersed in a rich, multi-sensory experience that invites them to explore a world that feels both vast and deeply personal,” said Meow Wolf senior creative producer Susie Cowan

Radio Tave will also introduce a cast of new characters, and fans of the immersive art company will spot familiar themes and appearances from the Meow Wolf universe.

“Houston is a powerhouse of creativity, and our artists and collaborators have been channeling that electric energy into this exhibition for years,” said Jose Tolosa, CEO of Meow Wolf.

“They’ve taken it to the next level, capturing the city’s vibrancy in every corner of the experience. We can’t wait for you to step inside and explore it for yourself.”

Meow Wolf has already unveiled a surreal dive bar in the afterlife called Cowboix Hevvven for its new Houston destination. The honky-tonk establishment has a working restaurant and bar, and an interactive jukebox will play songs by Texas artists.

“We’re very excited about Houston and to join the community, and we are developing a really special experience for that audience. We’ll soon be inviting our guests to change their frequency in Houston, but that’s all I can say now,” Vinny Nicoletti, Meow Wolf’s new chief marketing and revenue officer, told blooloop in a recent interview.

Meow Wolf currently has four exhibitions, in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver and Grapevine. After launching in Houston, Meow Wolf is heading to Los Angeles.
