Immersive art company Meow Wolf has unveiled its upcoming Houston exhibition, named Radio Tave, ahead of the opening on 31 October.
Located in Houston’s historic Fifth Ward, the new installation will put guests in a surreal radio station that has been transported to another dimension.
This dimension is full of labyrinthine paths, portals, hidden doors and multi-sensory mysteries, as well as familiar themes and characters from the Meow Wolf universe.
“Radio Tave is a story about a group of everyday colleagues who find their way through an otherworldly experience by embracing new possibilities,” said Spencer Olsen, senior creative director for Meow Wolf Houston.

“We’re inviting guests to become part of this community and contribute to the musical artistic expression of the show.”
At Radio Tave, guests will see a cavernous grotto with living instruments, a surreal dive bar in the afterlife called Cowboix Hevvven, the ETNL radio station, and the multi-room Obsidiodyssey installation.
Obsidiodyssey was recently unveiled. Created by Santa Fe-based artist Janell Langford, the exhibit explores the creative process in multiple dimensions.
In addition, Meow Wolf Houston includes an in-exhibition bar and restaurant, a gift shop selling creative treasures, and an events venue.
Gil Perez, general manager for Meow Wolf Houston, said: “Radio Tave will offer visitors a journey through the depths of their own imagination.
“From the moment you step inside, you will be transported into an entirely new reality – one that defies expectation and invites endless exploration and creativity.”
Tickets for Meow Wolf‘s latest attraction are now on sale. To mark the occasion, Meow Wolf has released a trippy trailer for Radio Tave (see above) featuring Houston music icon Fat Tony.
Meow Wolf currently has four permanent exhibitions, in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver and Grapevine. After launching in Houston, Meow Wolf is heading to Los Angeles.
