International Ride Training (IRT), a provider of specialist safety training, certification, auditing, and operational consulting for the global attractions industry, recently launched IRT Attractions Consulting, SLU, a new Madrid-based affiliate.

The new company will help International Ride Training better support its expanding client base across continental Europe, where demand for high-quality ride and aquatic operations training, safety education, audits, advisory services, and operational support has risen significantly in recent years.

“Europe has become an increasingly important part of our work, and establishing IRT Attractions Consulting, SLU in Madrid allows us to provide more responsive, locally based support to attractions across the continent,” says Erik Beard, managing member and general counsel of International Ride Training and Administrator of IRT Attractions Consulting SLU.

“Our goal remains the same: to help attractions build strong, accountable operations teams and support a culture of safety at every level.”

Deepening relationships with European clients

Like its parent company, IRT Attractions Consulting serves theme parks, waterparks, family entertainment centres, adventure parks, and other attractions across Europe. Its services include operations training, audits and advisory support, interactive safety education, leadership development, standard operating procedure creation, and safety consulting.

The company also administers the International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) programme for European clients.

This third-party certification programme focuses on the safety, efficiency, and professionalism of ride and aquatic operators. The iROC programme supports and upholds international industry standards, including those established by manufacturers and organisations such as ASTM, EN, and ISO.

The launch of IRT Attractions Consulting, SLU, will help International Ride Training deepen its relationships with existing European clients and make its programmes and expertise more accessible to new partners across the region.

Based in Madrid, the affiliate will serve clients with the same standards, training philosophy, and operational focus that have established International Ride Training as a trusted resource in the global attractions industry.

“The growth we are seeing in Europe reflects a strong commitment from operators there who are investing in training, accountability, and continuous improvement,” adds Beard.

“IRT Attractions Consulting, SLU gives us the foundation to meet that momentum with the level of service and partnership our clients expect.”

International Ride Training helps attractions build safer, more confident, and more consistent operations teams. Through hands-on training, performance audits, leadership development, and practical operational guidance, the company helps attractions improve daily performance and foster a strong, lasting safety culture.
