Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced it will contribute to the upcoming SAGA experience from Puy du Fou Asia, planned to open at the beginning of next year in Shanghai, China.
Puy du Fou is an established international historical park operator famous for creating immersive experiences and sensational shows. From its base in France, the group has expanded its operations to Spain and has announced future projects in China and the US.
Being built in the heart of the capital, the SAGA immersive show project will transport attendees back in time to the 1930s.
Different experience every time
The site covers more than 40,000 square metres and will welcome more than 3,500 visitors per day who will be immersed in a unique walkthrough experience, choosing their path with family and friends with twenty-six distinct story routes.
“Puy du Fou is clearly a leader in their segment. They have a unique offering and are quite simply, unparalleled at what they do”, says Triotech president and CEO Ernest Yale. “We are excited to be working with this world-class organisation.”
Triotech’s European Division CL Corp has been selected to design and construct seven dynamic platforms which will simulate a real-size train and other vehicles, integrated with special effects and media.
The pneumatic motion technology for the project has already been used in several projects including the movement of genuine aircraft for a WWII museum in France.
Fruitful discussions
Despite challenges created by China’s travel restrictions, Triotech were able to deploy the attractions by leveraging staff already in the country, where they have been engaged for more than a decade.
Christophe Lucchini, managing director for Triotech’s CL Corp Division, adds: “Puy du Fou visited our offices in Rennes, France, and we had very creative and fruitful discussions with our respective teams.”
President of Puy du Fou, Nicolas de Villiers says: “We are proud that our new ‘SAGA’ concept is coming to Shanghai. This is our first creation in China, which calls for other projects on which we are actively working with our French and Chinese teams. This new ultra-immersive concept in the heart of the city illustrates our ambition, to innovate and offer new thrills to the world.”
Triotech is currently showcasing its attractions at IAAPA Expo Europe in London (Booth #1317) until 15 September 2022.
