Alton Towers has shared a first look at Minecraft's new baby mobs arriving at the resort ahead of the launch of this summer's 'Meet the Mobs' event.
Launching on 18 July and running through 28 August, the event is the first of its kind in the UK where guests can meet Minecraft's new baby mobs – the moving, living creatures and monsters in the video game.
"Minecraft helps children build, explore and imagine worlds of their own, and the mobs are a vital part of what makes those worlds feel alive," said Howard Ebison, vice president at Alton Towers.

“That is why it feels so special to bring these characters into the real world at Alton Towers Resort, in a way families can discover and enjoy together."
The limited-time event features six Minecraft-inspired scenes around the park, where guests can meet the new baby mobs, including yellow axolotls, baby pandas, pigs, goats, chicks and wolf pups.
Guests can also meet official mob costume characters, including Iron Golem, Chicken Jockey and Creeper.
Additionally, the experience includes interactive activities and a mob trail around the resort to unlock an exclusive and unique Minecraft in-game reward.

Themed snacks including Minecraft-inspired TNT popcorn will be on offer, as will exclusive new Minecraft merchandise.
"These first images show the baby mobs finding their feet at Alton Towers Resort, ahead of families meeting them for themselves this summer," Ebison added.
"'Meet the Mobs' has been created to capture the imagination and playfulness of Minecraft, with characters to meet, surprises to discover and an exclusive in-game reward to unlock along the way."
