Tenerife’s Siam Park has been awarded a Plaque for Merit in Tourism following upgrades to the water park’s attractions.
Last year, the park installed ProSlide’s uphill coaster, the Singha, a world's first hybrid waterslide incorporating ProSlide’s FlyingSAUCER™ and RocketBLAST™.
The prestigious Plaque for Merit in Tourism, presented by Spain’s Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, recognises the park’s willingness to consistently improve its offering which in turn boosts Tenerife’s competiveness as a leisure destination. Winners are chosen by the Spanish Government’s Council of Ministers.
The award was received by Christoph Kiessling, Vice-President of Loro Parque, at the IFEMA, a session that precedes the Fitur 2016 fair.
For the second year running, Siam Park has been named the Best Waterpark in the World on Trip Advisor as voted by members of the public via its Travellers' Choice Award.
