Universal Orlando Resort is permanently closing its Animal Actors On Location! show on 3 November to "make way for a new experience".
The opening-day attraction at Universal Studios Florida showcases animal actors from films and TV, with dogs, cats, birds and other animals performing video segments, live skits and audience interactions.
The live-animal show launched with Universal Studios Florida on 7 June 1990, originally operating as Animal Actors Stage.

On its website, Universal Orlando says the production "will be permanently closed on November 3rd, 2026 to make way for a new experience".
Universal said in a statement (via the Independent): "We are grateful for the countless memorable moments it has provided our guests over the years.
"More details about the future development of the space will be shared at a later time."
Animal rights organisation PETA welcomed the show's closure in a statement, saying the production "has used animals provided by notorious supplier Birds & Animals Unlimited".

Debbie Metzler, managing director of captive wildlife at PETA, said the move marks "the end of a shameful chapter at Universal, which for years has forced demeaning tricks out of animals".
Metzler said PETA "is asking Universal to ensure that not one live animal is used in whatever comes next".
Universal Studios Hollywood in California closed its version of the show, called Universal's Animal Actors, in January 2023.
In recent years, Universal parks have also phased out the use of live owls at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter locations in Orlando, Hollywood, Osaka and Beijing.
