Embed, a leading worldwide supplier of point-of-sale and revenue management systems, has announced that CTO Andy Welsh has been recognised at the recent 2019 ASEAN CIO50 Awards.
Embed is proud to announce the its CTO, Andy Welsh, has been named in the inaugural CIO50 list in ASEAN, in an awards ceremony in Singapore on 28 November 2019. The list celebrates the top CIOs, CTOs and CDOs in the region, and is organised in association with IBM.
The judges looked at two core pillars, business innovation and leadership. During the event, many successful, transformational and disruptive professionals were honoured, across a wide range of industries.
Welsh, who is the CTO of Solutions Group for Embed & Booking Boss, was recognized in the top-10 of CTO professionals, coming in at 8th, ahead of key executives from household names like Dyson, Air Asia, Standard Chartered, Adidas and BP.
Hard work validated

Welsh’s contribution to the industry is exemplified by Embed’s recently launched Mobile Wallet, a virtual game card that is fully compliant with Apple and Googe, in a world-first for the sector. Because guests do not need to download an app in order to use the Mobile Wallet, it simplifies their experience, helping operators to generate more revenue.
“With partners like Amazon, Google and Apple- and working with leading brands In the FEC space, our brainstorming sessions leverage next-generation industry technology from industries that are hyper-competitive and fast-paced,” says Welsh.
