The IAAPA Expo is taking place in Orlando from 18 to 22 November. As the premier event for the visitor attractions industry, IAAPA Expo gathers industry professionals to present new products, innovative services, insightful education sessions and impactful networking opportunities.
Success in Amsterdam
The record-breaking 2024 edition of IAAPA Expo Europe was held last month in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The studio’s booth welcomed a high volume of attendees, who enjoyed a range of 4D/3D attractions projected on a massive LED screen.
Goedele Gillis, senior vice president, sales and distribution at nWave Studios, says: “We are grateful to everybody from the IAAPA team who made this edition possible. We had a blast and being able to connect with clients, partners and friends in this way just shows how we are all connected through our passion for entertainment.”
The 4D/3D attraction Theater of Dreams received considerable attention from theme parks, amusement parks, and family science centres. With beautiful CGI visuals and a captivating soundtrack, this film beautifully depicts the power of friendship and the never-ending world of imagination.
Meg and the Lost Scepter was another major success. Based on the studio’s hit animated feature film Chickenhare and the Hamster of Darkness, this 4D/3D attraction shares the story of the film’s beloved characters through the lens of Meg, the fearless skunk.
Upcoming releases
nWave will be exhibiting at IAAPA Expo in Orlando, where the studio plans to preview two new additions to its catalogue, Drone Dash and a new Chickenhare CGI attraction.
Drone Dash is a gripping 3D ride simulation film under five minutes that follows drones as they compete in an exciting race. This attraction, produced by long-term collaborator Red Star Studio, will include all of the spectacular visuals, immersive 3D, and heart-pounding thrills that nWave is renowned for.
In addition, the studio is currently nearing completion of a sequel to Chickenhare. This new feature film will launch in theatres in 2025 and will also be adapted as a 4D/3D attraction film.
Last year, nWave enjoyed booming levels of activity including the launch of The Inseparables, the studio’s 10th animated feature film.
