SPREE Interactive, a leading provider of active free-roam VR experiences, has announced several new updates as it continues to expand. Firstly, the firm has joined the German Accelerator US cohort, which is a leading initiative supporting German start-ups that are expanding into the US market.
The company also recently exhibited at DEAL 2023 in Dubai, where it showcased its VR Playground, alongside the latest VR shooter game, Splish Splash. The team sold multiple systems during the trade show and has just installed two new VR playgrounds in the region, coinciding with Eid celebrations. In addition, SPREE Interactive is also growing in the Indian market, where VR attractions are a big trend.
Firm expands globally
Over the past three years, SPREE Interactive has demonstrated a 50-170% year-over-year growth rate, as well as keeping a positive EBITDA. Now, the firm is concentrating on expanding revenue streams and entering new markets across the globe.
Following SPREE’s entry into the German Accelerator US program, Jonathan Nowak Delgado, the company’s co-founder and managing director, will be attending US German Startup Night in New York on 12 April 2023.
Earlier this month, SPREE Interactive also announced that it has brought its X6 VR Arena to tiNiWorld Entertainment Center in Vietnam. Here the family-friendly VR experience enables the operator to tap into the 6 to 12-year-old demographic and in just the first month of operation, the X6 VR Arena brought an extra 2,500 players through the doors.
Last year, the firm was recognised with a number of industry awards, including the People’s Choice Award at the MAPIC Awards 2022 and a Bobble Award from VR expert Bob Cooney. SPREE beat over 280 nominees to win “Best in Location-Based Entertainment” at the Augmented World Expo Auggie Awards 2022. The team also won 2nd Place in the Immersive Attraction category for the blooloop Innovation Awards.
