Experienced manufacturer delivers the realism of the racetrack to venues around the world

Wave Italy, a provider of immersive racing simulators, has announced the latest product joining its lineup, the Ghepard Maranello model.

Founded in 2015 in Maranello, Italy, the firm creates a wide range of sim racing products, such as Formula and GT car simulators, that are suited to drivers of all abilities in corporate, commercial and domestic settings.

Wave Italy products can be rented for events worldwide, as well as the option to purchase or long-term rent them for entertainment venues as a separate attraction. Typical venues benefiting from the trend for rented simulators include car museums, technology centres, autodromes, five-star resorts and cruise ships.

The company’s simulators offer a high-level racing experience, being the same product that professional pilots choose for their training in Wave Italy’s numerous locations. In fact, Wave Italy’s Professional Training Center in Verona is often used to train real-life professional pilots looking to improve performance and lap times.

For beginners and amateurs, the difficulty level can be set appropriately, whilst still providing driving sensations that replicate a realistic and immersive experience.

“Striving every day”

Wave Italy CEO and founder Alex Martinelli says “The real Sim Racing is now a long way from video games and is a powerful tool at affordable costs to approach motorsport. It attracts an everyday growing number of people for pure fun in corporate and sporting events, but for many, it has also become a semi-professional activity.

“Furthermore, it is now essential for the training of real pilots who, especially in the minor formulas, always have very short times to properly test set-ups, strategies and other fundamental details during practice in the racing weekend.

“For all the above reasons, we at Wave Italy, strive every day to provide the best systems and facilities, through continuous research and development.”

New Simulator

The Ghepard Maranello simulator is Wave Italy’s latest creation, offering a stylish and sophisticated simulator that can also be suitable for domestic environments.

A Wave Italy marketing spokesperson recalls the thought process: “[We thought] going fast in a car is wonderful, doing it with a beautiful car is fascinating: let’s try to do it in Sim Racing, too. One day we saw the image of a jumping cheetah, a symbol of power, speed and elegance, and we got to work.”

This model is suited to racing and game rooms, villas, yachts and resorts looking for a unique selling point.

Customers can tailor the Ghepard Maranello simulator to their own tastes and design, with customised racing seats, dashboards, peripherals, livery, colours, materials and style.

Potential drivers can choose from a selection of leathers, custom embroidery, two or three-tone livery, body wrapping, contrasting stitching and the addition of carbon fibre as just a small selection of services Wave Italy can offer to its clients looking to make the Gheperd Maranello their very own.

More information on Wave Italy’s range of simulators can be viewed on its company website.

Other trends set to be realised in 2022 include the increased utilisation of IPs and a stronger focus on sustainability in visitor attractions.
