Scene2 Ltd, a leading UK design and build company, is set for expansion under the leadership of the recently appointed joint managing directors, Amber Nicol and David Whealy.
Nicol, previously production manager, and Whealy, previously workshop manager, were promoted when the company restructured its senior team in 2025. As joint managing directors, they work closely with the founders, Susan Walker, CEO, and Andy Dixon, CCO.
Entering a new era
Walker and Dixon founded the company in 1999. Since then, they have led Scene2 to become a leading supplier in the sector, renowned for its work on full-immersive productions, bespoke exhibitions, and structures such as pop-up shops.

This success is a testament to the vision of the co-founders, who recently decided to reshape the senior leadership team and enhance the business's creative direction and day-to-day operations. Scene2 also overhauled its entire website, relaunching its online presence to reflect the business's evolution.
The new team will embark on an expansion programme while delivering the consistency and sector-leading attention to creative detail and quality that Scene2 is known for. Nicol and Whealy bring extensive knowledge and industry experience to oversee all facets of the business.
"My experience as workshop manager has given me the expertise to see where we can improve our operating efficiencies," says Whealy.
"Working alongside Amber with her talent with people, we will continue to strengthen team relations and make Scene2 the ‘place to be’ in the industry.
"My aim is to increase our production capabilities, whether that is in volume of work or the quality and kind of work we produce whilst upskilling the Scene2 team to do things they never thought they were capable of."

Nicol says: "We are thrilled to be given the opportunity by Andy & Susan to build and upskill our creative thinking and engaged team who produce incredible projects.
"No day is the same in our industry, and at Scene2 we celebrate that! My aim is to foster our productive yet fun working environment whilst ensuring operational efficiencies and projects are kept on budget.
"I am looking forward to being a presence at networking events and to building more relationships with future clients."
Experts in creative design
Walker continues to advise the Scene2 team on a daily basis, sharing guidance across all parts of the company, from production to finance to client development and innovation, while having time to focus on theatre design work.
Dixon remains creative design lead at Scene2. He also joins The Path Entertainment Group in-house to support its expansion plans, building on his long-term relationship with the company.

Walker and Dixon are confident that the handover to Nicol and Whealy marks a new chapter for Scene2, presenting new opportunities for consolidation, collaboration, and change.
At the forefront of the immersive and live experience sector, Scene2 helps create some of the best-recognised and loved productions in the business, delivering exciting and creative solutions to marketing briefs.
