Digital Projection to present advanced laser projectors at ISE 2024

News
Digital Projection ISE 2024

Digital Projection, a specialist in laser projectors, will unveil two of its most advanced laser projectors to date at ISE 2024.

The firm, which is a brand of Delta, will present the all-new E-Vision 16000i WU. This product features a newly improved electronics platform that shares much of its functionality with the flagship TITAN series. The new E-Vision platform, completely redesigned from the ground up, offers a slew of new features while maintaining its reputation for great reliability in applications from classrooms to projection mapping.

Enhanced colour & contrast

The new design revolves around the use of Texas Instruments’ latest 0.8″ High Efficiency Pixel (HEP) DMD. This new DMD achieves a higher brightness than the 0.67″ DMD. It achieves improved colour and contrast, without sacrificing the durability that DLP projectors are recognised for.

This new DMD has been optimised for solid-state illumination, enabling an unprecedented brightness of 16,000 ISO lumens. This is complemented by a higher tilt angle on the DMD mirrors, which allows for a broader colour gamut. “Blacker blacks” are accomplished by directing light away from the lens more efficiently when the mirror is in the “off” position, resulting in significantly improved native contrast.

This laser-phosphor projector’s picture quality is enhanced with ColorBoost + Red Laser technology, which delivers the most accurate and vivid colours at previously unattainable brightness levels.

The E-Vision 10000i is also new, and offers 9,600 lumens of brightness and 20,000:1 dynamic contrast, and the same advanced features as the E-Vision 16000i. These capabilities, such as Source Redundancy, Brightness Sync, and Auto White Balance Correction, are typically reserved for high-end 3-Chip devices, making these some of the most capable and versatile Single-Chip DLP projectors available today.

Dirk Siedle, general manager DSBU at Delta EMEA, says: “We continue to bring cutting-edge technology to the display market with products such as the revolutionary Satellite MLS system. These new integrated projectors show our commitment to leading the development of all solid-state projects with some of the most capable, high-brightness projectors in the world.”

The groundbreaking Satellite MLS has proven very popular in recent years, with a strong demand for greater brightness and efficiency. To meet client requirements, the firm has introduced 20,000 and 30,000 lumen Modular Light Sources to supplement its original 10,000 lumen light source. This makes deployments much easier by eliminating the need for “many-to-one” fibre configurations, resulting in greater flexibility.

The new fibres have a smaller diameter and higher light transmission efficiency, which means that when combined with the new light sources, they offer a significant reduction in system cost. These new capabilities make this innovative technology more accessible while preserving the near-REC2020 colour space.

TITAN laser projectors

The all-new TITAN line of projectors will also debut in Europe at ISE 2024. The 3-Chip powerhouse projectors were first unveiled at InfoComm 2023 in Orlando and have had a complete platform redesign.

The new TITAN 41000 4K UHD, along with the M-Vision 27000 WUXGA, the world’s brightest 1-chip DLP projector on the market, come equipped with advanced capabilities. They offer unprecedented brightness, vibrant colour rendering, a smaller footprint, and improved, market-leading efficiency. This creates exceptionally bright, accurate, lifelike images in a wide range of commercial settings.

Digital Projection ISE 2024

The new range of TITAN laser projectors provides up to 47,000 lumens at WUXGA and 41,000 lumens at 4K-UHD resolutions. Both models use Digital Projection’s ColorBoost +Red Laser technology, which employs red laser in addition to the traditional blue laser phosphor system. The result is brilliant, vivid colours.

The TITAN 41000 4K UHD (3840Ă—2160) projector chassis features cutting-edge technology, making it ideal for large venue applications including auditoria, performing arts centres, visitor attractions, houses of worship, and rental and staging.

The new TITAN line represents a significant advancement over the popular existing versions, with many aspects fully reinvented and re-engineered for efficiency and compactness. The new model is 15% more efficient in lumens-per-watt output than the current TITAN and outperforms the nearest competitor. This secures the TITAN’s green credentials together with its reputation as a projection powerhouse.

With an enhanced 40,000 hours of illumination lifetime in ECO mode and a dust-proof, filterless design, the TITAN is designed to work continuously in 24/7 situations.

The increased power and performance have also been designed into a considerably smaller chassis. As a result, the model is 27% brighter, 13.3% smaller, 7.4% lighter, and 3dBA quieter than the existing version. This restores the TITAN’s status as the smallest, lightest, brightest, and quietest projector in its class.

Digital Projection recently supplied 38 projectors for an immersive art experience in Noorderkerk Church, Amsterdam. Vincent meets Rembrandt: The Untold Story is on show until 2027 and tells the story of how Rembrandt van Rijn’s paintings inspired Vincent van Gogh’s greatest works.
