Digital experience designer Guru boosts talent pool with 4 new hires

Innovative designer of digital experiences for museums, zoos and aquariums, Guru, has announced four key appointments.

The news reflects a growing demand for the company’s software solutions which deepen engagement by adding an interactive dimension to the visitor experience.

alenna gatti guru talent poolAlenna Gatti joins the company as Director of Sales & Partnerships. Guru describes her as having a keen eye for sales strategy, tech world savvy, and business acumen. Other strengths include a knack for cultivating strong partnerships.

‘Guru created a digital storytelling platform that makes it easy on institutions to implement, and extremely fun and educational for the visitors,’ comments Gatti.

Piage Pooter Guru talent poolPaige Potter takes on the role of Customer Success Associate. A passionate historian and an archaeology graduate, she has amassed a wealth of expertise from leading institutions such as the Museum of London, the V&A and, most recently, the Getty Museum.

‘I hope that both my education and my experience in Visitor Services and Public Engagement Strategies at museums and heritage sites will continue to further the already fantastic understanding that Guru has about how people engage with sites and what visitors most expect out of an experience,’ says Potter.

Exciting museum guests about the potential of AR and VR

Kevin Lindmark guru talent poolKevin Lindmark joins as the company’s AR/VR Guru. Lindmark brings his passion for game development along with many years’ experience working in the tech industry. Past roles include everything from a QA tester to a lab analyst, to a technician. According to Guru, his enthusiasm and ability to tackle ‘incredibly complex virtual designs’ has already spawned ‘captivating’ virtual and augmented reality experiences for Guru customers.

Lindmark says he hopes to excite audiences about the possibilities of augmented and virtual reality by providing experiences that ‘delight, inform and inspire’.

Lexie Sharabianlou guru talent poolLexie Sharabianlou has been appointed as Storyteller Guru. Described as having a love of storytelling that is ‘as boundless as her last name is long’, Sharabianlou’s previous roles include a teacher and designer of high school courses and a digital marketer. She’s been tasked with ‘cultivating compelling narratives and engaging audiences across generations’.

She says her new role is ‘a dream come true’ and she looks forward to being a member of the Guru community ‘who love what they do’.

Guru’s fast growing portfolio of clients includes San Diego Museum of Art (main image) and Battleship IOWA.
