n-gage.io, a specialist in creating attractions management software for the visitor attractions and hospitality industries, has entered into a contract with Longleat, a historic estate and safari park in Wiltshire, UK.
With this agreement, the company is helping to reimagine the visitor experience at the internationally acclaimed attraction.
“Our team is so excited to be supporting the work of the Longleat Estate,” says Bryan Hoare, CEO of n-gage.io.
“It’s an iconic attraction in the UK and we’re delighted to be working with the team to help them enhance the day out for nearly one million visitors a year. We’re looking forward to supporting other parts of the Estate in due course and helping the team to expand their digital experiences.”
Longleat House was built in the 16th century and is one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in England. It is the home of the 8th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath, and has been occupied by the family for sixteen generations.
In 1949, it became one of the first privately owned stately homes to open to the public, and in 1966, the estate opened a safari park, the first outside of Africa.
Visitors can see more than 120 different species on the safari experience, which spans 900 acres (360 hectares) of the 9,800-acre (4,000-hectare) estate and can be travelled on foot, as well as by car, train, bus and boat.
Enhancing the digital experience
Longleat is committed to delivering an unmatched day out, and recently revealed a new mobile app to help guests make the most of their visit. The attraction appointed n-gage.io to help elevate the visitor experience with its latest guest mobile technology and software, including a variety of interactive features.
The n-gage.io solution is implemented across the safari park site and combines the SaaS platform’s highly customisable guest mobile app with its powerful attraction management software. This provides the tools and data insights that the team needs to enhance the visitor experience and enrich engagement in real-time.
The mobile app includes the Longleat Safari Drive-through, an interactive GPS function that provides detailed species information, a full audio commentary, and interesting facts and quizzes to educate visitors about the species and conservation efforts.
The app will serve as a focal point for visitors, offering even more interactive content and media about the safari park and wider estate. It will also offer interactive experiences as visitors explore the majestic setting. Additionally, the app will be used to update visitors on Longleat’s event programmes and activities throughout the season. The team will draw from data insights to enhance engagement and provide tailored experiences.
John Broughton, sales and marketing director at Longleat, says: “We’re delighted to launch our new Longleat App with which we aim to offer our guests an enhanced digital experience.
“n-gage.io has developed a software platform and mobile app that’s helping the attraction industry to transform their approach to guest engagement, whilst delivering business critical insights to help improve operations and drive revenue growth, something which is so vital to the industry. The technology will certainly help us to enhance the experience for our guests.”
Earlier this year, n-gage.io announced that it is working with Lyons Holiday Parks, a family-owned holiday park group with 20 locations across Wales and Cumbria. Lyons is Wales’ biggest holiday park provider and hosts over 4,000 park owners and hundreds of thousands of holiday guests every year.
