3dx Scenic, a leader in custom scenic design and fabrication for themed environments, brand experiences and attractions, is celebrating its recent partnership with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment on the new Big Bird’s Beach-themed zone at Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, US.
The new overlay for the themed land, which was previously called Twiddlebug Land, brings many much-loved characters from Sesame Street to life for a memorable experience that all visitors can enjoy.
New themed elements
As part of this project, 3dx Scenic fabricated a series of new thematic signage for the land’s attractions, as well as a seagull sculpture and an immense mural wall that stands behind the family-friendly wave pool.
Brittany Frosio, 3dx Scenic’s project manager for Big Bird Beach says: “The Sea World and Sesame Place teams were a joy to collaborate with. They were amazing partners through the entire process of the project from concept to installation. 3dx is proud to have partnered with Sesame Place on yet another fantastic scenic install.”
Visitors to Big Bird’s Beach can enjoy the Little Bird’s Bay wave pool and a family raft ride named Elmo’s Surf ‘n Slide, as well as Rosita’s Seaside Slides, and the Abby’s Splash & Spray Garden interactive water play area.

Big Bird’s Beach truly is a park within a park as it is home to the property’s rebranded family raft slide, tube slides, wave pool, and splashpad.
“This truly was a perfect collaboration between 3dx, Sea World Parks, and Sesame Workshop that has added new layers of color and immersion to one of the most popular areas of the park.”
Big Bird’s Beach opened to the public on Saturday 27 May 2023.
