ART Engineering celebrates launch of Braus & Saus at potts park

ART Engineering Braus & Saus

Compact Family Shuttle Launch Coaster features extensive theming and two interlocking twisted spikes

ART Engineering, an amusement ride manufacturer that develops roller coasters, dark rides, carousels, water rides and more, has shared that its new family roller coaster, ‘Braus & Saus’, has been successfully commissioned at potts park, Germany.

The bespoke Family Shuttle Launch Coaster has been thrilling adults and children since it opened to visitors in mid-July.

Braus & Saus is situated opposite the ‘Klippenschleuder’ wild swing in ‘Wild Stone Age’ zone, and brings together innovation, themed worlds, and a fun ride experience in a compact layout.

The ride starts with a short forward journey into a pre-show scene. Here, the Stone Age roller coaster train and its riders enter a Stone Age car wash, where they are briefly washed and then dried. The train then begins to ascend backwards up the first of two interlocking twisted spikes, from which it is accelerated using two friction wheel starts.

The second acceleration section has been designed at an angle to offer visitors outside the track an optimal view. The train then climbs the second spike forwards, before travelling backwards along the entire track to end at the station.

Braus & Saus has a minimum height of 90 cm and was developed to cater to young visitors, without compromising on comfort or quality of experience. Each seat is individual, with individual bars that offer children and adults ample space and a safe ride.

Compact, reliable family thrills

With Braus & Saus, ART Engineering once again shows how high-quality rides can be developed even when space and budgets are constrained. The ride is characterised by its compact design, excellent dependability and family-friendly fun, and offers an ideal solution for amusement parks that prioritise group-focused innovations.

The Stone Age train is a focal point for the ride. This eye-catching vehicle was carefully crafted in close partnership with potts park, and features details such as wood-effect construction and perfectly matching decorative elements.

“We are very proud of the successful implementation of this ride and would like to thank the potts park team for their partnership and cooperation,” says Georg Behringer, managing partner of ART Engineering.

“Braus & Saus is another example of how technical expertise, creative design and high-quality implementation can result in a great overall experience for a large target group.”

Henrik Pott, managing partner of potts park, says: “We are delighted to have found a partner in ART Engineering who has already delivered our second attraction within a very short time.

“Following the prototype Klippenschleuder, the Wild Swing in 2022, we deliberately chose ART Engineering as the manufacturer for the new innovative roller coaster Braus & Saus. Like us, ART Engineering is committed to offering high-quality rides. Even after the rides have opened, minor adjustments are taken care of immediately.”

Founded in 2003, German manufacturer ART Engineering creates high-quality rides for amusement parks across the globe. The company specialises in family-friendly attractions, bespoke solutions and technically advanced products, ‘Made in Germany’, that impress with their longevity and reliability.

Additionally, ART Engineering supports its clients with modernisation and retrofit projects, working with an ethos of collaboration, adaptability, and solution-oriented thinking.

The company will be exhibiting at IAAPA Expo Europe, which is taking place in Barcelona from 22 to 26 September. Attendees can find ART Engineering at stand 1 #1-950.

Last month, ART Engineering celebrated the launch of a new Flower Carousel family attraction at Lochmühle amusement park in Germany. The vibrant ride complements the park’s existing family offerings and is already a popular attraction for young visitors, as well as their parents and grandparents.
