Art Engineering celebrates launch of four Wild Swings in 2024

News
ART Engineering Wild Swing at Futuroscope

Rides have opened at Futroscope, Tripsdrill, Family Park and Majaland Gdansk

ART Engineering, an amusement ride manufacturer that develops roller coasters, dark rides, carousels, water rides and more, is celebrating the opening of four new Wild Swing attractions in 2024.

The Wild Swing runs entirely on electric motors rather than hydraulics. With a free-swinging gondola and 16 individual seats with restraints (8 on each side), the Wild Swing provides an exhilarating yet family-friendly ride experience with no rollovers. The attraction is suitable for riders from 90 cm / 36 inches tall and features a compact footprint of just 11 x 6 metres.

Positive response

The ride’s successful prototype launched at Fantasiana in Austria in 2022. Wild Swings were installed during 2023 at German parks Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Elstal and potts park, with four further new openings in 2024:

  • Hydro Dynamo which opened at Futroscope in April and is a highlight of the park for thrill seekers.
  • Wilde Gautsche followed later that month at Tripsdrill in Germany. This ride enriches the park with its theming, also by ART Engineering GmbH.
  • Azurgo launched in May in the Adventure Castle at Family Park in Austria and features medieval theming.
  • Latający Holender opened at the start of June at the newly launched Majaland Gdansk theme park in Poland. Here, the Wild Swing was integrated into a pirate ship to create a unique atmosphere.

ART Engineering GmbH managing directors Oliver Pierling and Georg Behringer were “delighted with this success and the positive response from theme parks and visitors,” says the firm. Further Wild Swings are already in production for 2025.

ART Engineering will be attending IAAPA Expo Europe, which is taking place in Amsterdam from 23 to 27 September. Attendees can find the firm in hall 11 at booth #11005.

Last year, ART Engineering partnered once more with Lagoon, a popular theme park in Farmington, Utah, US, on an interactive dark ride coaster named Primordial.
