The first Disney Cruise Line ship for guests in Asia now sets sail in 2026

Disney Cruise Line has postponed the maiden voyage of its new Disney Adventure cruise ship, which now departs from Singapore on 10 March 2026.

The Disney Adventure, the first Disney Cruise Line ship for guests in Asia, was originally due to set sail on 15 December.

In a statement, Disney Signature Experiences’ president Joe Schott said: “As we work on the final touches to bring the Disney Adventure to our guests, we’ve encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process.”

He added, “To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, we’ve made the decision to adjust our timeline.

“We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and we’re working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.”

Guests booked on the 15 December voyage will be automatically rebooked on the 10 March trip with a 50 percent discount.

Disney Cruise Line’s largest-ever ship

Guests who can’t make the new date will be refunded in full, and given 50 percent off any available Disney Cruise Line sailing to be booked by 31 March 2026 and to depart by 31 March 2027.

The Disney Adventure is the largest-ever cruise ship to be launched by Disney Cruise Line. Highlights include the longest coaster at sea in an immersive Marvel-themed zone.

Across the ship’s seven themed areas, attractions include Duffy and Friends experiences like a new show, character meet-and-greets, and a unique retail store.

Additional experiences include Toy Story Place, a whimsical water play land designed for families with young children, as well as the Big Hero 6-themed San Fransokyo Street.

And, for the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, the ship’s stern will feature both Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Sarah Fox, vice president and regional general manager for Southeast Asia at Disney Cruise Line, previously said guests “will find endless adventures from bow to stern”.
