"Fender benders with buses, traffic snarls at the Magic Kingdom parking entrance, and overall growth are fueling transportation projects throughout Walt Disney World, " writes Sandra Pedicini in The Orlando Sentinel.
She outlines the way Reedy Creek, the Disney-controlled taxing district, is tackling the growth in traffic - and traffic incidents -and has already approved$350 million worth of projects to be completed by 2018. Measures include:
- A2-mile Western Way extension
- Abridge taking hotel traffic over the Magic Kingdom's toll plaza
- Abypass providing better access to Floridian Way.
