Fun Spot America in Fayetteville, Georgia has announced the opening date of its new steel roller coaster, ArieForce One.

Debuting on 31 March, ArieForce One boasts 3,400 feet of red and blue track and reaches speeds of 64 mph.

“ArieForce One is a dream, a wish, and a project that has been years in the making,” said John Arie Jr., the president and CEO of Fun Spot America.

“It is already exciting coaster fans and thrill-seekers from all over the globe as they prepare to visit us to experience what it feels like to soar through the sky.”

Riders will be taken up a 154-foot lift hill in state-of-the-art coaster trains before flying like pilots in fighter jets for 90 seconds through a steep 83-degree first drop and the US’ largest zero-g stall.

Largest zero-g stall in the US

Highlights also include moments of weightlessness and airtime, four inversions, the first-ever ‘raven truss dive’, two zero-g rolls and a 180-degree stall.

“This ride is truly a dream come true for our family and our company,” Arie added. “It truly proved that if you can dream it, you can do it! ArieForce One is going to be huge!”

Elsewhere, Dollywood’s new Big Bear Mountain coaster is nearing completion. Last month, Walt Disney World and Hersheypark released POV videos for TRON Lightcycle / Run and Wildcat’s Revenge.

Germany’s Europa-Park has installed the first piece of track for its 14th coaster, and Parc Astérix is launching the new record-breaking ‘Toutatis’ coaster.

ArieForce One is Fun Spot America’s largest ever single investment.
