IAAPA appoints Storm Tussey-Haverly

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has appointed Storm Tussey-Haverly as its first executive vice president and chief membership officer, following a global search.

Tussey-Haverly has built a reputation for her trailblazing work in the marketing and sales industry and specialises in loyalty programmes, digital transformation, and product development.

She joins IAAPA after serving as senior vice president of global commercial marketing at Hurtigruten (the leading adventure travel group).

In this role, she directed consumer insights, consumer relationship management (CRM), e-commerce, business-to-business and consumer loyalty programmes, international media, PR, and analytic teams.

Before joining Hurtigruten, Tussey-Haverly was the senior director of brand marketing at Lego Systems supporting Merlin Entertainments offerings. Here, she developed loyalty programmes and sought to boost brand-based, cost-effective, high-value consumer visits to their e-commerce lines.

Newly created position

As an avid supporter of education, Tussey-Haverly has earned several graduate degrees. These include a master of science in integrated marketing and a master of business administration (MBA) from West Virginia University. She also holds numerous bachelor of science degrees from Champlain College, Vermont, in sports and entertainment marketing, advertising, and design.

Jakob Wahl, IAAPA president and CEO, says: “I am pleased to welcome Storm to the leadership team of IAAPA. Her expertise in digital transformation, strategic marketing, and leadership will be essential in moving IAAPA forward for our members, ensuring the dynamic and diverse needs of our industry will be served with unforgettable experiences, connections, education, and resources.”

IAAPA formed the position of executive vice president and chief membership officer to inspire and drive the future of its membership products, services, online capabilities, and research initiatives. The role is also responsible for the association’s digital touchpoints, such as the IAAPA.org website and the IAAPA Connect+ platform.

IAAPA recently announced that the IAAPA FEC Summit 2024 will take place in San Antonio, Texas, from 21 – 23 January. This annual event gathers professionals from across the family entertainment centre (FEC) industry and offers a key opportunity to network, share best practices, and discover more about emerging trends.
