Lagotronics Projects, the media-based attractions specialist, has announced that it will reveal the newest version of the acclaimed Gamechanger ride at IAAPA Expo 2024.
The premier event for the visitor attractions industry, IAAPA Expo is taking place in Orlando, Florida from 18 to 22 November. The show floor opens on 19 November.
Introducing the Atlantis Gamechanger
The Gamechanger is a revolutionary dark ride concept that combines a small footprint with a large capacity of 450 to 900 visitors an hour, and features a distinctive rotating platform. Guests are taken through a series of dynamic, interactive media scenes where they participate in video game inspired tasks that combine friendly rivalry and excitement.
The Gamechanger experience is centred on Lagotronics Projects’ highly-accurate interactive technology. The system enhances guest engagement using responsive aiming and is available in both fixed-shooter and handheld versions.
The new Atlantis Gamechanger takes visitors on a journey through a picturesque fishing village, where they learn of legends about a lost sceptre. The adventure takes them aboard a submarine that descends deep into a colourful underwater realm, rich with vivid sea creatures and interactive experiences.
As they investigate, a giant kraken appears, creating dark clouds that visitors must clear to regain their view. Further into the deep, they encounter glowing marine life and mysterious surroundings, before arriving at Atlantis, where ancient guardians defend the legendary sceptre. After their adventure, visitors can celebrate their success at the Hall of Fame.
The new Atlantis theme refreshes the Gamechanger while keeping it versatile. Its compact form makes it ideal for a variety of park environments, allowing operators to maximize space while maintaining quality.
The new version of the Gamechanger is fully accessible for visitors with wheelchairs, and design features such as accessible entrances and customisable seating ensure a smooth and fun experience for everyone.
The Gamechanger concept has made a global impact. Installations include the Stadlgaudi 4D ride at Bayern-Park in Germany, which has been recognised with a European Star Award, and the Shimao Smurfs GameChanger in Shanghai’s Dream City which has received two coveted Golden Crown Awards, demonstrating Lagotronics Projects’ dedication to quality in interactive entertainment.
Lagotronics Projects recently marked the completion of the global first Ferrari-themed esports arena, which opened in September at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The facility brings together innovative technology and the legendary Ferrari brand to set new standards for the esports entertainment space.
