Lamberink Ferris Wheels, a leading specialist in the manufacturing, renting, and refurbishing of Ferris wheels, has partnered with Street Machine to introduce Chile’s first large Ferris wheel to the coastal city of Viña del Mar.

La Gran Rueda had its grand opening on Saturday 12 December. This 33-meter Ferris wheel provides a distinctive view of Viña del Mar and its coastline, featuring notable landmarks like the Presidential Palace of Cerro Castillo and Wulff Castle. RPRides played a key role in establishing the necessary contacts for this project.

A new partnership

“We are very excited with our collaboration with Lamberink,” says Robert Morrison, general manager at Street Machine. “Their experience as wheel operators is reflected in an easy build-up and very friendly operational system. The new 33-meter wheel was launched in Viña del Mar, coast of Santiago city, on 12 December with great media coverage and feedback from the local people.

“The city expects 6 million people during summer season, and for sure, this wheel will be an iconic tourism attraction for all families. This new wheel is the beginning of the alliance between Lamberink and Street Machine in Chile and South America, with many ideas and projects in the pipeline.”
