Gardaland, Jumanji the Adventure

Polin’s Futura Form worked with Merlin Entertainments to bring the world of Jumanji to life

Polin Group, a leading single-source amusement park supplier, is celebrating Gardaland’s latest attraction, Jumanji The Adventure, which opens to the public on 9 April 2022. Polin Group’s Futura Form company collaborated with Merlin Entertainments on the new dark ride, which brings the popular series from Sony Pictures to life.

Futura Form provides production, design and project management services, and also creates custom composite products. It has provided several composite signage products, tactile-surface products and pop-up displays for a number of different industries, including entertainment, landscape, tourism, architectural, and industrial product manufacturing.

For this project, Futura Form created a number of special thematic products for the dark ride, as well as for four Jumanji-themed rooms at Gardaland Hotel, with the aim of building a memorable experience for the resort’s guests.

Opening this month, the family-friendly dark ride, which is the world’s first ride inspired by the films, takes visitors on an adventure through the jungle, where they will encounter challenges, surprises, and dangers. Guests journey through 12 different scenes on unique multi-motion ride vehicles.

“Guests will make their way through the jungle facing dangerous animals and obstacles of all kinds,” said Gardaland in a press release.

“In a race against time, the adventurers’ mission will be to return the sacred and precious jewel to the legendary temple and save Jumanji. In particular, they will have to face the animatronics: the huge hippo that takes everyone by surprise when it appears from a swamp, and scary spiders that drop down onto the moving vehicle, as well as the roaring Stone Giant who bursts out of a cave and blocks their way with his hand.”

The new rooms at Gardaland Hotel continue the Jumanji experience. Futura From crafted several elements to bring the world of the movies to life, including wild animals, plants and temples.

Earlier this year, Polin Group announced that Matteo Ferrarini has joined the Polin Western Europe team as business development manager in Italy.
