Spanish destination resort PortAventura World will openits third theme park, Ferrari Land, on April 7th.
The new park will have 11 rides and attractions including the Vertical Accelerator- the tallestand fastest roller coaster in Europe - and theFerrari Experience.AtFITUR, Spain's leading international tourism conference and exhibtion, PortAventura World Parks & Resort recently showcasedits brand new world-class theme park.Theresort's third theme park willopen on 7th April, to coincidewith the opening date of PortAventura Park’s 2017 season.
Ferrari Land is in essence a tribute to the rich history and heritage of Ferrariand also to itsfounder Enzo Ferrari. This is manifestin the iconic carsand thetechnologieson displayin the park.
The new park has a footprint of70, 000 square metres. It will have 11 family attractions.Highlights will be expert technology and high-octane thrill-rides. In addition, visitors can dine atFerrari themed restaurantsand enjoy theshopping and live entertainment.
The Spanish park follows the successful creation of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the UAE.
The Heart of Ferrari Land
The heart of Ferrari Land will be Ferrari Experience. Here, visitorscan immerse themselves in two Ferrari worlds, GT and F1. Akey attraction here will be The Vertical Accelerator, which is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Europe.At 112 metres high and approaching180 km/hour in just 5 seconds, this new ride will perfectly capture the spirit of Ferrari.Alongside it istheFerrari Land Gallery.This isan interactive journey through the history of the Ferrari brand.It will includea racetrack, a free fall tower and a bounce-back tower.Furthermore there will be F1 simulators, a pit stop, a miniature F1 speedway and a play area for younger children.
Continuing the Ferrari theme, park guests can enjoyauthentic Italian dishesatatraditional Italian Trattoria.There is also a themed fast food restaurant. The restaurantswill serve classic recipes together withtraditional Italian ice cream.
Authenticity and Live Entertainment
Visitors will also have the chanceto visit the official Ferrari shop.There, they can purchase a variety ofa Ferrari themed souvenirs.Always a highlight ofPortAventura World, spectacular live entertainment wil also feature at the new park.Ferrari Land will boastits own themed shows. With 3 different shows through the dayand street entertainment the park will be a thrilling, livelyandfun experience for guests.
