RHETROACTIVE Appoints Lisa Nash as Partner, COO and Senior Executive Producer

News

RHETROACTIVE, a global leader in entertainment design and IP/brand strategies for theme parks, museums, retail, food & beverage, hospitality and other location-based experiences, has announced the appointment of Lisa Nash to the joint roles of Partner, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Producer.

Nash joins the company from Universal Studios where, most recently, she served as Director and Executive Producer on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In addition, she produced Transformers: The Ride 3D at Universal Singapore and also lead efforts for the Diagon Alley expansion at Universal Studios Orlando.

Tim Rheault, a founding partner of RHETROACTIVE, described Nash as the perfect partner who shares the company’s love of pragmatic design, saying: “It’s not often that creative meshes with production, but having worked with Lisa in the past and based on our recent conversations leading up to this partnership, we knew she was the perfect partner. She brings an enormous amount of knowledge and experience in project delivery, having produced some of the most high-profile projects in our industry. Adding Lisa into the mix allows us to truly fulfil the promise of total project delivery from concept through opening day.”

RHETROACTIVE’s CEO Steve Trowbridge added, “Lisa also shares in our experience of working with major IP’s and brands. We believe that in an increasingly diverse landscape, brands and IPs should view location-based entertainment as another important omnichannel pillar to drive loyalty for their brand stories.  Our work with The Simpsons, Despicable Me and Lisa’s with Transformers and Harry Potter, among many others, has shown that when these high-quality experiences are executed well, they drive huge profits at the park and back to the franchises.”

Over the past 20 years, Lisa has worked with many of the industry’s pre-eminent entertainment design firms including BRC Imagination Arts, Goddard Group, Hettema Group and Wyatt Design Group leveraging some of the world’s best-known brands to produce successful, exciting and repeatable guest experiences for her clients. Several of her projects have won THEA Awards.

Lisa Nash COO RHETROACTIVECommenting on the announcement, Nash (right) said, “I’ve had the pleasure of working with RHETROACTIVE’s founding partners as far back as 2000, so we have a shared history and understanding of each other’s strengths. Joining RHETROACTIVE is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the strategy, design and production talents of the 3 partners in the location based entertainment arena.

“RHETROACTIVE is an entrepreneurial and creative-driven company. They are exceptionally client-focused, willing and able to act as a seamless member of the clients’ teams to provide both strategic and tactical know-how to the design, production and execution of LBE on all scales. Tim and Steve share my goal of wanting to produce pragmatic and thoughtful design that is producible to program, budget and schedule so that creative and commercial intents are met.

“This is a very exciting time for growth in the LBE industry. Likewise, it is a very exciting time for us to grow RHETROACTIVE even further. I very much look forward to serving our current and future clients well along with my partners.”

RHETROACTIVE was founded by partners Tim Rheault and Steve Trowbridge in 2004. The company, with offices in Los Angeles and Hong Kong, specialises in all things creative, drawing on ‘a toolbox of skilled talent’ to help brands and intellectual properties develop, understand and evolve their stories within the built environment.
