Company will be managing live entertainment at Hersheypark

RWS Entertainment Group, a creator of award-winning custom entertainment, live events and branded experiences, has been awarded a new contract with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, meaning it will be responsible for managing live entertainment at the Hersheypark amusement park.

Hersheypark is a popular attraction with family-friendly rides and thrilling coasters set over 121 acres in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It also recently opened a new expansion, Hershey’s Chocolatetown.

Exciting new programming

“For more than a decade, we have trusted RWS to help us conceive and produce dozens of live stage shows and events for visitors to The Sweetest Place On Earth,” says Vikki Hultquist, General Manager of Hersheypark.

“We are looking forward to expanding our partnership with this award-winning organization as we continue to innovate our entertainment department with new and exciting programming.”

Hersheypark’s summer season begins on 30 April, with performers in the role of 15 unique Hershey characters, against themed backdrops and locations around the park. There are also plans to introduce strolling musicians, character events and live shows going forward.

Outsourcing saves time and money

“Our team is honoured to be Hershey’s choice for live entertainment,” says RWS Entertainment Group Founder and CEO, Ryan Stana. “My own history includes performing on stage at theme parks at a young age. It was a magical beginning to an amazing, international career. Nothing makes me happier than extending that opportunity to new talent while giving our clients and guests a reason to cheer a little louder.”

RWS has grown rapidly over the last five years, managing live programming on behalf of a wide range of theme parks, hotels, resorts and cruise lines. This allows operators to save time and money by leaving their live entertainment to the experts.

The company is able to meet venue and budget requirements for many different projects, handling everything from full entertainment concept and development to choreography, music, lighting, décor, costuming, recruitment, staffing, training and compensation.

Last year, RWS Entertainment teamed up with CrowdRX to create a set of universal health protocols, keeping performing artists safe in the wake of COVID-19.
