Award-winning casting executive joins the firm as it continues to expand its turnkey entertainment services

RWS Global, a leading producer of live experiences, has announced that award-winning casting executive Judy Bowman has joined the firm as its new vice president of talent casting and recruitment.

Bowman’s inclusion in the team coincides with RWS Global’s expansion of turnkey entertainment services for cruise ships, resorts, theme parks, and large-scale sporting events. Each year, RWS Global fills over 8,000 positions globally, providing opportunities for singers, actors, dancers, musicians, technicians, and creatives, both on land and at sea. This appointment highlights the company’s dedication to acquiring premier talent for its international entertainment productions.

Over 30 years of casting experience

Bowman has more than 30 years of casting experience across theatre, film, and television, encompassing Broadway and off-Broadway shows, regional theatres, musicals, plays, and experiential entertainment in markets like New York, Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles.

Her additional contributions span feature films such as Hurricane Bianca, Mean Girls, Something’s Gotta Give, and Shortbus, as well as series for Carsey-Werner, Amazon Prime, Hallmark, and PBS.

“Judy’s innovation and creativity will be invaluable to RWS Global,” says Ryan Saab, executive vice president of talent and creative casting. “Her extensive industry expertise and proven ability to lead dynamic casting projects, coupled with her commitment to building strong and diverse teams, position RWS Global to continue delivering exceptional talent to our clients worldwide.”

Bowman has been a faculty member at the Harlem School of the Arts and has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s MFA Film Department. She has also taught as a guest at NYU, Harvard, and Carnegie Mellon. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Spanish from Tufts University.

Last month, RWS Global announced that it had entertained over ten million consumers at attractions around the globe during the 2024 holiday season, on land and at sea. The company offers more than 75 bespoke experiences, bringing the holiday spirit to life with theatrical and experiential expertise.
