Spielberg gives thumbs up to reimagined Christie-powered Universal Cinema

Steven Spielberg has given the thumbs up to the re-imagined Universal CityWalk cinema complex.

Rebranded as Universal Cinema, all 18 screens have been re-fitted to 'break the boundaries between movie-making and screening'.

According to Universal Studio chairman, Ron Meyer, each cinema now delivers the quality usually associated with a Hollywood screening room.

To achieve this, the auditoria have been fitted with Christie RGB laser projection, Christie Vive audio and Dolby ATMOS.

Considered the pinnacle of laser projection, Christie's ultra-bright and colourful platform gives visitors a 'director's-eye-view' of the action.

Having experienced if for himself, Spielberg described the viewing experience as 'on a par with the movie that you came to enjoy'.

No small statement from the man who has created some of the best-loved movies of all time.

A global visual, audio and collaboration solutions company, Christie offers diverse solutions for business, entertainment and industry. Christie employs over 1,500 people globally and has installed over 100,000 projection solutions worldwide.
