News
TEA Chloe Hausfeld

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has announced the appointment of Chloe Hausfeld as global director of strategic partnerships, which is a newly created position. In this role, Hausfeld will be responsible for the generation and growth of non-dues revenue stream, playing a critical role in helping TEA reach its strategic, operational and financial goals.

Reporting to the TEA’s executive director, Lindsey Nelson, she will lead the effort to identify and prioritise key partnerships and industry alignments:

“We are thrilled Chloe, a legacy TEA member, has accepted this position where she will build upon existing partnerships and identify new strategic relationships for TEA and its members. She understands TEA’s unique value proposition and will be the best person to tell our story to the rest of the world as a global representative for our organization,” says Nelson.

“The formation of our new Industry Relations Division, of which Chloe will lead, represents the first in a series of actions TEA plans to take in the coming months to better prepare the organization to capitalize on opportunities for the future.”

An experienced professional

Hausfeld brings to her new position a wealth of expertise, having had a long and successful career in the entertainment and attractions sector. During her time as vice president of JRA, she visited many parts of the world to establish connections with both present and potential clientele. In her most recent role at Baynum, she developed important connections with vendors and clients for Amusement Solutions.

“I valued my time with Baynum and the support I have received from President Walt Bowser and his staff,” Hausfeld said. “This transition will allow me the opportunity to serve an industry and all of their vendors and partners I have admired for so many years. I am eager to join the amazingly creative team at TEA and look forward to providing guidance to further revenue goals, and to brokering partnerships that will take TEA to the next level.”

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Hausfeld is a supporter of the IAAPA’s Give Kids the World Committee and this month will rotating off IAAPA’s Board of Directors as well as the Global Manufacturers and Suppliers Committee. In 2017 she was presented with IAAPA’s Young Professional of the Year Award.

Hausfeld will join TEA at IAAPA Expo 2023 next week in her new role. She will be helping the organisation officially launch its campaign to announce awardees and prepare for the 30th Anniversary celebration of the Thea Awards in March 2024.

The Themed Entertainment Association will be hosting its annual International Mixer during IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando. This year’s event takes place on Tuesday 14 November from 7 pm to 10.30 pm, at Discovery Cove.
