Media-based attractions specialist, Triotech, has announced that it is teaming up with Merlin Entertainments and Heide Park Resort to create a brand new Ghostbusters dark ride.
The media-based, interactive attraction will be the first in Germany to be themed on the famous ghost hunting franchise.
“We are extremely proud to work with Heide Park’s team on what is for Triotech another major project with the team at Merlin Entertainments, ” commented Ernest Yale, President and CEO of Triotech.
“It goes without saying that we are thrilled to work on Ghostbusters, an iconic international intellectual property that needs no introduction.”
Heide Park Resort is the largest and most visited resort theme park in northern Germany with over 50 attractions including a ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ themed world and Wing Coaster Flight of the Demons.
The Ghostbusters Dark Ride
The new family ride, Ghostbusters – The Ultimate Ghost Hunt, for ages six and over, transforms guests into ghost hunters as they embark on a mission to rid Heide Park of an infestation of flying slime ghosts.
Equipped with laser proton pistols, a ghost trap and 3D glasses, they take a ride in ECTO-1 through a spooky warehouse and fight in teams of eight alongside the Ghostbusters. Guests will need to keep their wits about them because ghosts will appear suddenly and can sometimes only be heard but not seen.
Triotech offers integrated turnkey solutions for digital attractions including content developed in its own studio in Montreal, Canada. Since the company was founded in 1999, 72 million guests have enjoyed a Triotech experience.
