Universal teases this year’s haunted houses and scare zones

Universal Orlando has unveiled many of the haunted houses and scare zones coming to this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event.

Haunted houses already revealed for this year’s event are inspired by Friday the 13th‘s Jason Voorhees, Amazon Prime Video’s drama series Fallout, and the Terrifier film franchise.

An original haunted house called El Artista: A Spanish Haunting was also announced last month. This is set in an isolated country residence in 19th-century Spain.

In a series of new Instagram posts, Universal Orlando‘s Halloween Horror Nights has teased more haunted houses and scare zones for the 2025 experience.

Starting with the haunted houses, these are:

Hatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters, an Old West town where red-hot lava demons are trying to possess everyone.

Dolls: Let’s Play Dead, where guests are hunted by toys that have been burnt, melded and stitched together by a twisted little girl.

Grave of Flesh, an underworld where flesh-eaters who feed on the dead will hunt visitors.

Gálkn: Monsters of the North, a remote village filled with monsters and demons.

As for the scare zones, these are:

The Origins of Horror, a decaying conservatory of twisted vines, home to monstrous crows and gargoyles.

Masquerade: Dance with Death, a ball where bloodthirsty vampires lurk behind ornate masks.

The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane, where guests travel down a spooky path to a mysterious home where visitors are turned into feral felines.

Mutations: Toxic Twenties, a 1920s neighbourhood where a truck carrying radioactive cargo crashes into a mobster getaway car.

All-new street experiences

In addition to the haunted houses and scare zones, Universal Orlando will offer new street experiences like Mel’s Drive-In Zombies and Club Horror, featuring zombie carhops and undead DJs.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on 29 August at Universal Orlando. It starts on 4 September at Universal Studios Hollywood.
