Italian ride manufacturer, Zamperla, has announced a raft of new ride installations across Europe ahead of the Euro Attractions Show.
Among them is a Mia&me themed ride (main image) at Holiday Park Germany.

Z+ developing hand gesture technology
The company’s tech brand, Z+, creator of the VR BOX (above), has been busy developing a hand gesture system, initially for use on its Galleon ride.
Z+ is also looking at adding an interactive element to its popular Bumper Cars, refreshing the standard ride with a brand new experience.
Of the many new installations this year, three popular Zamperla rides opened at Parc Du Bocasse in France: a Crazy Bus, Mini Ferris Wheel and Kite Flyer. Also in France, Walibi Rhône Alpes debuted three Zamperla attractions in its new themed area, Festival City: a Rockin’ Tug, Samba Balloon and Vertical Swing. The company also supplied a Mexican-themed Crazy Bus ride to Djurs Sommerland.

Endeavour is a brand new ride inspired by a classic attraction from yesteryear but upgraded with cutting-edge technology. The open air, suspended passenger vehicles give riders the sensation of flying 60ft up in the air at 25 mph. RGB LED light packages illuminate the industrial design to put Endeavour in a class of its own. The ride has opened at multiple locations this year including Dreamland UK and Tykkimaki Finland.

Meanwhile, the popular WindstarZ goes from strength to strength. An instant hit when it launched, recent developments include a virtual reality (VR) model and the introduction of the manta theming. This year, Zamperla announced a new theme inspired by the popular cartoon series, Mia&Me.
Rockin’ Tug continues to be popular at venues throughout the world. Recent installations include Walibi Rhône Alpes, Ravensburger in Germany, and Dreamland UK. Over 160 examples have been installed since 2002, featuring more than 20 different themes.

Set to be unveiled at the IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando is a new 4-seater version of the VR BOX attraction. Previously only available with 8 seats, this more compact option has been created especially for FECs and venues with limited space.
