Amusement Parks: Lucky Star - a Potted History Blooloop

Lucky Star amusement park is located just outside Larnaca in Cyprus and the nearby motorway makes it easily accessible for visitors who wish to travel from Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol and Ayia Napa.

Although it is billed as an amusement park for people of all ages, the amusement park does not feature any of the ‘white knuckle rides’ you might associate with amusement parks in general. It is a very ‘family friendly’ amusement park however.

There is no admission charge to the amusement park. You can either buy special wristbands to give you unlimited rides or there are plenty of other coin operated rides so the amusement park is ideal if you just want to spend a couple of hours here and won’t cost you the earth.

The Bumper Cars are one of the most popular rides and a variation on those, the Bumper Boats offers a similar experience but with the added thrill of water. There are also children’s versions of Motorcycles if you prefer the thrill of 2 wheels.

There’s also a Safari Train and a monorail at the amusement park which is a ‘must see’ for all visitors and gives you a great opportunity to view the entire park from above the ground.

Lovers of vintage cars will enjoy the Antiques Car ride which will bring back many memories to those who can remember these cars in their heyday whilst speed ‘freaks’ will doubtless enjoy the Go-Karts.

For budding gymnasts at the amusement park, there is Trambolino, where those between the ages of 2 to 14 can enjoy a safe but exciting trampolining experience and there’s also a bouncy castle.

And, although Cyprus is renowned for its glorious sunshine, especially in the summer, you’ll still find plenty to do at the amusement park even if you are unlucky enough to catch a shower as the indoor activities area at the amusement park features billiards, table football, air hockey, video games and a large number of games for toddlers.

There are restaurants, ice cream kiosks and a souvenir shop at the amusement park which, alongside the attractions, makes Lucky Star, Cyprus a great day out for all the family.
