Macquarie Leisure Trust Group (ASX:MLE) announced that Noel Dempsey has been appointed as the CEO of Dreamworld and WhiteWater World effective immediately.
Noel joined Macquarie Leisure as Group Chief Operating Officer in late 2007 with an extensive career in leisure and hospitality operations. Noel’s previous experience included Chief Operating Officer of the publically listed Restaurant Brands chain of 211 KFC, Starbucks and Pizza Hut properties across the New Zealand market and general management roles with the Sky City Entertainment Group in Auckland, New Zealand being responsible for non-gaming operations across this diversified Group.
Noel will continue to maintain the Macquarie Leisure Trust Group (Group) responsibility in relation to key operational initiatives that are being undertaken across all Group divisions.
Noel’s detailed operational expertise will assist the management team in ensuring that Dreamworld maximises its operating performance in the current economic environment.
