Aquatic Development Group (ADG), a leading water park and recreational design, construction and manufacturing firm, is celebrating the opening of the new expansion at Roaring Springs Water Park, Idaho.
The new development includes a multi-level play structure, an action river, an activity pool, Geyser Grill and Bar, and other facilities. This is phase one of a seven-part expansion scheme which is planned to be delivered over the next 10-15 years.
Roaring Springs is the biggest waterpark in the Northwest. The planned developments will increase its size by nearly 40%, resulting in it becoming one of the biggest water parks in the whole of the US.
Wave action adventure
ADG designed, manufactured and delivered their wave generation system and boosters for Roaring Spring’s 4,250-square-foot Class 5 Canyon. This is the first action river in Idaho which includes action waves that guests may ride on using kickboards.
Tiffany Quilici, Roaring Springs Waterpark marketing director, says: “There’s nothing lazy about this river. It’s a wave action adventure.”
Roaring Spring’s new expansion includes rides, attractions, and facilities for visitors of all ages. A significant addition for children is Camp IdaH2O, an 8,000-square-foot interactive multi-level play structure. Its design features iconic Idaho animals and birds, and children can enjoy seven intermediate slides, 100 play features, and a potato-head-themed dump bucket.
Children can also enjoy the new Critter Crossing, a 3,200-foot activity pool with forest-themed floating features and water basketball.
Enhancing guest experiences
Roaring Springs has also added 16 premium cabanas alongside the new rides. The cabanas offer a variety of benefits for visitors, with cushioned sectionals, wait service from the new Geyser Grill and Bar, elegant furniture, toilets, and extra parking.
The rides and facilities in this phase of the expansion aim to increase customer retention and improve the overall guest experience. In addition, 150 new jobs have been created.
Quilici comments: “I think this is our most exciting season that we’ve ever opened with the anticipation of our new expansion.”
Phases two to five will see an ambitious range of new water rides being added to the attraction’s line-up. Phases six and seven will extend the attraction’s car parks.
Earlier this year, Aquatic Development Group (ADG), celebrated the growth of its EpicSurf concept, which had been introduced to a wide range of surf shops on the US East Coast.
