An indoor/outdoor water attraction called Soundwaves has opened at Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville.

SoundWaves is a first-of-its-kind water and music experience covering four acres of attractions and amenities.

The attraction features rides, decks and an adult-only pool. Each experience is paired musical components from country to pop. Attractions play music and features a giant screen with music programming.

The water maintains an 84-degree temperature and features a uniquely-designed roof that gives in natural light.

SoundWaves General Manager David Andrews said: “Bringing music into SoundWaves is very important. It’s right inside the name and it’s built in Nashville, in Music City, so what we’ve done is we’ve taken music and we brought it directly to some of the attractions.”

He added that hotel guests can enjoy indoor surfing, rapid and lazy rivers, activity pools and private cabana rentals.

Outdoor seasonal features will open in Summer 2019.

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is located in Nashville, Tennessee. It is the flagship property of Gaylord Hotels, part of the Marriott portfolio of brands.

Marriott will also open the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel and Tai Shue Wan Water World in June. The project has faced a number of delays since it was first announced.
