Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, presented a new inclusive ride at IAAPA Expo 2025, developed in partnership with Morgan's, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals of all ages and abilities through fully inclusive, Ultra-Accessible initiatives.
“Our partnership with Zamperla shows what’s possible when creativity meets compassion,” says CEO of Morgan’s, Dr Brent Fields. “Together, we’re consistently showing the industry that accessibility and excitement can go hand in hand.”
The new ride, a drop-tower thrill ride called WingZ, is being showcased on the trade show floor this week. The debut highlights Morgan’s decades-long leadership in accessible design alongside Zamperla’s world-class innovation in ride engineering.
“Trust and common goals forged during the relationship between Morgan’s and Zamperla has helped bring this first-of-its-kind attraction to the market.
"Through collaboration and dedication, our respective teams have worked together to create an impactful ride which is sure to delight the guests at Morgan’s Wonderland and many other parks to come,” says North American sales manager, Michael Coleman.
Accessibility as a core principal
WingZ is an innovative, broad demographic, interactive tower ride designed with accessibility as a core principle. WingZ enables guests of all abilities to experience the thrill of soaring together. Its unique motion and responsive interactivity create a sense of freedom.
Through thoughtful engineering, WingZ demonstrates how technological innovation can deliver truly inclusive entertainment.
Antonio Zamperla, CEO of Zamperla, says:
“15 years ago, my father had a visionwhich was that everyone deserves the chance to smile on a Zamperla ride. I am proud to see our team continually developing our ALL ACCESS lineup of attractions and partner with Morgan’s in bringing the WingZ to life.”
"When you innovate, you create new possibilities. With WingZ, people with disabilities will experience something for the first time in their lives - the thrill of a drop you can’t imagine until you feel it,” adds Morgan’s Wonderland park president, Catherine Lorenzo.
In addition to the ride announcement, Morgan’s is also collaborating with IAAPA to broaden disability awareness within the global attractions community.
“Morgan’s Inclusion Institute is proud to become IAAPA’s exclusive provider of disability and accessibility training, while also being designated as an IAAPA Pre-Approved Provider to support member organizations in advancing inclusion,” says Morgan’s Inclusion Institute president, Enzo Piscopo.
Through a collaborative effort with Morgan’s Inclusion Institute, IAAPA will launch Disabilities Awareness, a new Disability Inclusion Course available via its Learning Management System (LMS).
The introductory course will be offered free of charge to encourage participation and promote greater understanding of accessibility within the industry.
Double Heart for Lotte World
Also on the trade show floor, the Zamperla team announced that the first Double Heart will open at Lotte World in South Korea in 2026.
“One of the highlights of our 60th anniversary is the world’s first Double Heartcoaster opening at Lotte World Adventure Busan,” says Antonio Zamperla.
“We have combined Italian passion, innovation and engineering since 1966, and that’s evident in the recent growth of our Roller Coaster Business Unit.
"We announced both the revamp of our roller coaster team and the DoubleHeart in 2021. As we step into the next 60 years, we are thrilled that experiences like this record-breaking coaster and great partners like the Lotte Corporation lead the way."
Compact triple-launch coaster
The Double Heart is the world’s largest compact triple-launch coaster. It reaches a height of 50 meters (164 feet) but occupies only a small footprint of 70 by 21 meters (230 by 70 feet). This design gives it a significant vertical presence, and its distinctive appearance quickly becomes a new icon for a park.
“Lotte World Adventure Busan has been a fantastic partner for Zamperla,” says Davide Donadello, Zamperla’s sales and operations manager for the China & Korea Regions.
“The property opened with nine Zamperla attractions and we are thrilled that they chose an iconic coaster like the Double Heart for their latest addition.”

The Double Heart belongs to Zamperla’s Triple Launch Family. Similar to the well-known TopThrill 2, it features three launches before soaring upward at 110 km/h (68 mph).
It features Lightning trains, Zamperla’s thrill platform. Designed with the latest coaster technology, it offers a spacious seat row distance, comfortable restraints, and a rider height requirement of 120 cm (48 in).
“The Double Heart features stand-out stats in a compact footprint, and buyers have been responsive,” says Adam Sandy, Zamperla’s roller coaster sales and marketing director.
“Whether space is at a premium or a park is looking for an investment that will deliver a fantastic ride experience and sell itself on social media, the Double Heart is a winner. We are excited to showcase it along with the other record-breaking triple launches we offer."
Last month, Zamperla launched a new collection of family rides at Union Station in St. Louis, Missouri.
