Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) has revealed more about its upcoming Discovery Adventures attractions for Saudi Arabia.
SEVEN, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery to open the new edutainment centres.
The purpose-built venues will be located in SEVEN’s planned entertainment destinations in the kingdom, with the world’s first to open in Al Hamra, Riyadh.
SEVEN has teamed up with Mycotoo to design and develop the Discovery Adventures, which will encourage exploration, play and education. The centres will offer various quests, missions and activities.
Abdullah Al-Dawood, chairman of SEVEN, said the partnership with Warner Bros. “marks a new milestone in the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s entertainment and reaffirms the kingdom’s position as a leader in the entertainment sector”
“With the mandate to bring truly world-class experiences to the kingdom, we have carefully curated distinctive Discovery experiences,” he added.
“They will add to the diverse portfolio of SEVEN’s entertainment attractions in the kingdom, which will enhance people’s lifestyles.”
SEVEN is investing SAR 50 billion ($13 billion) to build 21 entertainment destinations across 14 cities in the kingdom. The company has secured partnerships with the companies including Mattel and Hasbro.

The new entertainment destination in Al Hamra will also be home to the kingdom’s first Clip ‘n Climb facility, a Transformers-themed ride, and the Wave House indoor surfing venue. It will also feature cinemas, bowling, e-karting, retail and dining outlets.

Saudi Arabia‘s entertainment and attractions sector is rapidly growing as part of Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy to reduce the kingdom’s reliance on oil.
