The new office balances out the firm’s Midwest and East Coast presence

Luci Creative, a full-service experiential design studio and creator of dynamic experiences for civic, cultural, and corporate organizations, is set to better serve clients across the US with the launch of its latest office in the Seattle neighbourhood of Ballard.

Designers, experience developers and strategic strategists for the new location will be under the direction of project strategy director Julia Swan, whilst Jai Paguirigan, a senior exhibit designer, and Abby Kliger, a senior exhibit developer, will bolster up the Seattle team. Together, they have 55 years of experience working with cultural, civic, and business institutions.

Swan held several positions in Washington-based museums before beginning her career as a museum consultant, including curator, programme and community outreach coordinator, media relations coordinator, and history professor. Kilger has experience designing exhibits, conducting interpretive tours, and instructing special education. In addition, Paguirigan has experience creating for culturally significant subjects including the Holocaust and Indigenous communities.

Fuelling experience design

Luci Creative has worked on an expansive portfolio of travelling and permanent interactive experiences for cultural institutions and corporations including the Adams Presidential Center, Boston Holocaust Museum, Carnegie Science Center, National Music Museum and the Spokane Public Library, as well as international brands Microsoft, Harley-Davidson, and John Deere.

“As the next step in our growth strategy, Luci Creative is delighted to expand our organization and welcome such a talented team from the West Coast,” said AJ Goehle, the company’s principal and CEO.

“With our new location, Luci Creative taps into the Seattle team’s experience to support clients like the National Park Service sites, tribal museums, state and county agencies, heritage centres, nature centres, and public utility education exhibits.”

Fast-growing company

The company will be able to take advantage of the talent pool, suppliers, and business partners on the west coast thanks to the expansion, which will hasten growth in the fields of experience design, corporate settings, and planning museums.

Luci Creative was established in 2011 and has US locations in Seattle, Boston, and Chicago. With the acquisition of additional specialised knowledge, the Luci Creative team has more than doubled in size since 2019 to over 40 employees. With more than 70 projects done in more than 25 states and two other countries, Luci Creative was recently recognised as one of America’s fastest-growing companies in 2022 within the Inc. 5000 list.

Last year Luci Creative helped bring the new Moonshot Museum to life in Pittsburgh, home to real spacecraft and stories from space industry professionals.
