The Champi’Folies Smash & Reload themed family attraction features characters from TooMush

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has opened a new interactive dark ride at Le PAL in France.

The ride, Champi’Folies, from Triotech and BoldMove Nation features the cutting-edge Smash & Reload attraction with TooMush theming. The launch on 8 May was attended by international bloggers and journalists.

Le PAL is located in the heart of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It is one of France’s leading theme parks and zoos and is home to over 1000 animals and 31 attractions.

The Champi’Folies attraction offers immersive storytelling together with exciting action as visitors are taken on an unforgettably themed journey with characters from TooMush. The ride builds on Le PAL’s impressive reputation as a must-visit destination for families.

Arnaud Bennet, Le PAL president, says: “Champi’Folies introduces a new ‘species’ that speaks to the heart of our visitors, who are warmly embracing these cute TooMush characters. It is a pleasure to see that young and old enjoy this immersive experience side by side in a friendly competition.

“The attraction offers a seamless transition between the theme and animal park, re-energizing this park area with a weatherproof attraction. We are really pleased with the cooperation, which results in a high-quality and fun attraction with rich theming.”

Cutting-edge collaboration

The opening of Champi’Folies marks an important milestone for Triotech and BoldMove Nation’s collaboration. Together, these two leading companies have created an innovative ride that is loved by guests of all ages.

“We’re thrilled with the result of Champi’Folies. Our creative concept has been fully realized, and our teams created an amazing ride that surpasses our expectations.” Benoit Cornet, BoldMove CEO, comments: “We’ve blended physical and digital worlds to create a memorable experience for guests, and we’re proud to have worked closely with our partners to create an attraction that’s truly world-class.”

“We bring the characters alive on screen, and together with our partner Polymorph we added Artificial Intelligence to personalize guest experiences. The Cherry on the cake is the extensive theming we created with 3D decoration up to a real car, all of these reflecting their digital counterparts.”

Ernest Yale, Triotech CEO, says: “Our teams worked closely together to deliver a ride that is unique to the market with a high thrill level on a very small footprint. We had to be smart with our technology approach so we could make optimum use of the space for the ride. We leveraged Triotech’s technical and design know-how and worked diligently to synchronize media, hardware, software, and theming, in close cooperation with the team at Le PAL.”

Champi’Folies is now open for visitors at Le PAL to explore the immersive TooMush characters’ world. The family-focused ride attracts repeated visits through group play and competing for the highest score.

Triotech recently announced the new Battlegrounds World Agent walkthrough experience at Lotte World, South Korea. The experience uses interactivity, immersion, media, motion, and projection mapping in a new adventure set in the PUBG: Battlegrounds universe.
