Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, presented its full range of attractions for the first time at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023.
Visitors could experience ValoClimb, ValoJump, and ValoArena at booth B-2301 on the show floor at the prestigious annual event, which took place in Vienna from 25-28 September.
IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 is an important moment in Valo Motion’s history. The company won a Brass Ring for ValoArena at the 2022 IAAPA Expo in Orlando, and is now celebrating as its average number of daily players exceeds 180,000, spanning over 1,000 installations in more than 65 countries across the world.
Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO of Valo Motion, comments: “We have always aimed to push the boundaries and create attractions that offer an unparalleled blend of physical activity and gaming. That’s why presenting our complete mixed-reality portfolio at IAAPA Expo Europe this year is a very important moment for us.
“We believe that it’s the perfect opportunity to show operators that we can create a full set of active experiences that work as one interconnected ecosystem. By making excellent games for the players, we want to help the operators increase their guest engagement and repeat business at their venues.”
2030 vision
Valo Motion held a press conference at IAAPA Expo Europe on Tuesday 26 September, where Kajastila was joined by Maria Fernandez, growth marketing manager. Together, they shared insights into the development of the company, its aims for 2030, and details of its unique product range.
The pair shared the firm’s vision to achieve 1 million plays per day by 2030, and reflected on its experiences at IAAPA trade shows, which it has attended for seven years and has amassed 3 brass ring awards for ValoJump and ValoArena.
Kajastila and Fernandez discussed the innovations and development of ValoClimb, ValoJump, and ValoArena. Each product provides a distinctive and engaging offer, as part of an interconnected ecosystem created for active, social, and unattended play.
Live demos of the attractions were provided for delegates, displaying their seamless integration and wide range of entertainment options.
The press conference ended with an invitation for guests to experience the exciting attractions, underlining Valo Motion’s dedication to being a dependable, long-term partner, which focuses on solutions which optimise operational costs, create unique selling features, and promote family experiences.
50th ValoArena sold
Michael Groszewski, regional sales manager (EMEA) at Valo Motion, comments: “We are once more very grateful for the great conversations we had with customers and partners alike. The buzz of the industry is very motivating and we are optimistic that we will reach our goal of having 1 Million plays per day by 2030.
“We were very humbled by the success of the show; all show units sold instantly, and many more happy customers were welcomed to the Valo Family. We celebrated the 50th ValoArena sold and it feels like just the peak of the iceberg!”
The architectural design of the system, where each attraction is intended to work as a part of an interconnected ecosystem within a venue, which seamlessly integrates into a single cloud operating system, gives Valo Motion’s attractions a distinctive advantage. This, along with the business’s guiding principle of encouraging unsupervised, social, and active play, is the reason why all three attractions have been featured at the IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 trade event.
“When it comes to business relationships, we don’t just see ourselves as another vendor,” shares Kajastila. “Instead, we’re committed to being a creative, reliable, long-term supplier that guarantees the operator’s success.”
Valo Motion attractions enable the operators to reduce their expenses because they are completely automated and do not require additional attendants, wearables, wires, or other components. Additionally, these acclaimed mixed-reality platforms and their games provide a unique experience, which offers the venue a competitive advantage.
In 2023, Valo Motion added four new original games to its catalogue: Astro Blade and Operation: Money Grab for ValoArena, Stomp Squad for ValoJump, and Short Circuit for ValoClimb. Each game offers multiplayer capability, with each title providing a unique experience tailored to different age groups.
Valo Motion announced the launch of Short Circuit for ValoClimb in June. This is the 10th title to be developed for the attraction and enables a maximum of four climbers to work as a team and create electrical circuit graphics on the climbing wall.
