Disneyland has announced an opening date for the new Adventureland Treehouse, inspired by Disney’s 1960 film Swiss Family Robinson.
Launching on 10 November, the revamped attraction replaces Tarzan’s Treehouse and pays tribute to the original Swiss Family Treehouse built at the theme park in 1962.
On the upper levels of the Adventureland Treehouse, guests will find the mother’s music den, the twin sons’ nature room, and the daughter’s astronomer’s loft.
On the ground floor is a kitchen and dining room, as well as the father’s art studio, which is home to sketches and paintings of each room.

According to Disney, the new story is as follows: “The family fashioned an oasis among the trees inspired by nature and using objects found around them.
“Here, they can collaborate together while also pursuing their own individual skills, talents, passions and interests.”
When it opens next month, the Adventureland Treehouse will look more like the original from 1962, featuring a giant waterwheel at the entrance to generate energy to power the family’s gadgets and inventions.
Disneyland has also announced an opening date for its new Pixar Place Hotel, set to be the first fully Pixar-themed hotel in the US when it launches on 30 January.
New experiences at Disneyland
The reimagined hotel is replacing Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at the resort and overlooks Disney California Adventure.
Meanwhile, Anaheim residents and business leaders have provided early feedback on Disneyland’s planned expansion project.
Disney’s global development vice president Rachel Alde said the company will work with residents and is “simply asking to utilize the entitlements that we already have for the theme park and hotel and spread it across the lands that we already own and control.”
Joe Haupt, a consultant for the company, said Disney has already worked closely with the local community on the expansion.
