Thinkwell, a worldwide leader in the creation of experience-based developments for theme parks, museums, casinos, retail and resort destinations, announced today the opening of Thinkwell Arabia, its newest international office, located in Media City, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is the second international office for the Burbank-based company which also operates Thinkwell Europa in Barcelona, Spain.
Thinkwell first ventured to the UAE in 2003 to collaborate on Ski Dubai, a one-of-a-kind indoor ski resort in one of the most sweltering locales on the planet. Its cutting-edge snow park, complete with toboggan runs and ice caves, won an industry award for design. That success gave rise to additional projects, including a new large-scale commission in Abu Dhabi where Thinkwell has been appointed as the lead design firm for the highly anticipated Warner Bros. theme park on Yas Island, a multi-billion dollar development.
