Blooloop 50 Zoo & Aquarium Influencer List 2022 reveal in webinar

Join blooloop and Canopy Strategic Partners on Wednesday 19th October at 3.30 pm BST to find out who has made the first Blooloop 50 Zoo & Aquarium Influencer List.

Charles Read, MD of blooloop, will be joined by Lori Perkins, vice president of Canopy Strategic Partners to reveal the list.

As well as revealing the List and the Power 10, they will also discuss the challenges facing zoos and aquariums and the future of the industry.

Perkins facilitates strategic planning engagements, leads DEAIJ and women in leadership initiatives, and contributes her expertise to conservation planning efforts and expanding Canopy Strategic Partners’ executive search and recruitment services.

She is also deeply involved in wildlife conservation and management through the AZA, and chairs the AZA’s Board of Professional Ethics. Perkins was nationally elected to this body for the second time in her career.

She has previously worked at Zoo Atlanta, Lincoln Park Zoo, and recently at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts–Animal Kingdom as the Education and Science Director. Perkins worked as a curator of many varied taxa, but her primary focus has always been the conservation and management of apes, with a particular focus on orangutans.

Perkins led the Orangutan Species Survival Plan (SSP) for 30 years, and now chairs the Ape Taxon Advisory Group (TAG), the umbrella group coordinating the SSPs for all ape species. Lori also serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Great Apes.
